A corner in Taiwan

One word...masterpiece!!! Did you ever have problems with your Chromis killing each other? I see you have good number if them in each picture.

This is the most extraordinary reef tank. Meticulous in every aspect. And the photographic documentation of FTS is the best. Kudos to a wonderful reefer and thank you for sharing this wonderful tank. Please keep going with your beautiful pictures

I am mesmerised.

Thanks
This tank keeps getting better and better!

Growing is for sure, but I think SPS color still room to improve.

Yes, I can only keep them in a 10 to 15 members group. Every time I add more (up to 25 to 30), they will down size and stabilize the number to 10 to 15. Hahaha. Once a local fish store told me you can only keep them in odd number, that did not happen, but always a small group. :debi:

I like Denadai's reply when I called him like has a magic finger to turn every thing to wonderful, he told me "magic finger = hard work". I keep that in mind always, but.... GHL help a lot and make things easy for sure... :lmao:

BTW....

I am not that familiar to Balling method, but from what I read... it seems
"Balling Complete" requires NaCl free salt included, and traditional two parts methods with accurate dosing control some in states call that "Balling Light", and I also heard Balling Complete + many trace elements dosing control is so call "Balling Complete Plus".... Am I right?

Today I read a article about Balling, it indicated the principle of Balling is "control", meticulous control, suddenly I recalled previously one reefer asked my experience of using Balling method, I was a bit confuse and replied "but I did not use NaCl free salt!?"

At this point, I am thinking..... since I use 12 dosing heads (will add another 4 soon) to control KH, Ca, Mg, K+, plus 8 KZ products, maybe I can call it as "Balling KZ"?

What you guys think? Or maybe I miss some big points?

Wow I love the progression pictures absolutely amazing

A question on the dosing of flat worm stop does this bottle not require a good shake before use?

By looking at your tank, you deserve to call it whatever you want. I think your reef looks incredible and I wouldn't change a thing, It looks perfect.

Hi Shih87,

I put the third doser pump to work today. I'm using it to dose a combo solution of zeofood7, zeostart3, and zeospur for now. The recipe is fairly easy and seeing how you do this gave me the confidence to give it a try. I set the doser to dispense 70ml of liquid a day from a 590ml water bottle. In 7-8 days the bottle will be used up. I added 7 days worth of zeofood7 (10drops), zeostart(7ML), and zeospur(7ML) following the recommendations on each bottle for 150 gallons. The rest of the solution is distilled water. Like I said, it should be dispensed over the course of a week.

The only thing I didn't put in the solution is the zeobak. I'll just dose that one manually twice a week as per the instructions.

I know that you keep all of the zeo solutions separate but I wanted to try this combo for now since I just have the doser available. Any concerns?

Not what I recall in the instruction, and I have used it for a while, it since work fine without shaking. However, it is recommended to mix FWS and Booster for a few seconds, wait to see bubbling, then add into tank.

Wow... Thanks. Yes, even I will move to a new place 1st half next year, but I pretty much keep this tank "as it", since I want to see how my coral grow to.

Only concern is the zeospur2

The dosage amount or compatibility? Or just dosing zeospur2 in general?

It definitely worthy a try, but as Ryanrid mentioned below, Spur dosing have to be very careful, and should wait till tank reach ULNS. I only use Spur three times and then stop it, due to it is too much change in color for many coral. Some I like, some I don't. However, I saw some tank have amazing color by dosing Spur once and use B- Balance and SPG to maintain its color for ... like two week, and then dose Spur again, like a cycle.

Your tank is looking great, you have very nice SPS and great growth

Thanks.
I stop adding more coral nor fish, but will keep my monthly post.

Here is my Sept. 2013 update....

Looks great!

That is a great looking tank. I hope mine looks that good some day.

Thanks, guys.

Since I decide not adding any SPS to tank and prepare for house moving next year. I would like to try of changing something and gain reef experience.

This is the latest SPS I added into tank. It is from mail order but almost free since it is all brown ;-(

After I put it in tank and on purpose put on top (3 inches below water surface) for about 5 weeks, it turn color to this.....

(Picture shot when water change and its on top of water surface)

I will move it to proper middle layer and see if it can grow back to its real color (I think it is a Strawberry shortcake, but not sure )
