Amazziiiinnngggg tank. Are you not going to prune it?

The sps near the bottom of the tank that has STN on it, is because lack of light?

Those are some impressive progression shots! Amazing growth

Thanks. I am quite happy about the growth under HQI, but next tank I gonna change to T5 and LED ;-)

I keep one FSH per months for 30 months, but from these picture, can easy see I should prune them at least 6 months before :headwalls:
It's a bit too late now....

Yes, I think those STN are results of lack of light and currents :debi:

Hi,

I am looking for new light system for my new 132 x 90 tank. I like ATI hybrid 8x54w T5 + 3 x 75 w LED, but it only cover 55 cm over 90 cm wide tank. What is your suggestion? There is also Sfiligoi Stealth T5 Fixture up to 12 T5, but I am not sure I like Sfligoi over ATI...

Will ATI has new Hybrid fixture up to 10 or 12 T5 in near future?

I loved the progression pics shih:beer:
Amazing job!

My 8x54 ati covers my 88cm width very good. It's 20-25 cm above water surface and it lights the tank evenly.
But most of my aquacape is placed in the middle of the tank,so i don't have any corals really close to the back and front glass, needing much light.
I think with the hybrid(that gives more light than mine) and a "strategic" aquacape you will be ok.
But on the other hand sfligoi is a "safer" option regarding coverage.
None the less,i'd still go with the hybrid:D
Just my 02 cents buddy:)

Is there a way that your lfs can give it to you for a small try/test before you buy it?

Wow... Thanks for experience sharing. I was a bit worry ATI hybrid won't light the tank all, so your words help a lot.

Unfortunately, ATI hybrid is not popular in Taiwan, and probably no LFS can let me try. Anyway, I think ATI hybrid can cover enough (I plan to have my aquascape in the middle like your), once my coral grow again, I can add LED on both sides. I think that's at least 12 months later, which also give LED technology and market another 12 months to get a bit better ;-)

Shih, sfiligoi 12x54 emits less par (30-40% less) than a 10x54 powermodule ati (moving the same tubes from the first to the second fixture). I shifted from sfiligoi to ati due to that fact and I personally measured par with apogee quantum meter, in my tank. Powermodule x10 is larger than a x12 sfiligoi, which has smaller reflectors.

In your place, I would use 2 6x54 sunpower ati, or if You want to make things more difficult, I would use 2 4x54 sunpower or better a 10x54 powermodule; with two fixtures, You can leave some space between the two. If You make a central rockwork, You won't need to have much light centrally upon it, becuase there it will be higher, where PAR are higher due to smaller distance from surface.

Progression shots are nice. It is looking pretty crowded in there.

Yes, it is very crowded now. Next tank I got to trim SPS when needed.

Wow!!! I have no idea ATI up beat Sfiligoi 30%. Thank for increase my confidence to purchase ATI. I plan to order ATI hybrid 8 x 54 W T5 + 3 x 75W LED first. Hope it work well. If not, then I may need to buy more. However, I haven't figure out how to use only two cable to pull up and down light.

Here is the tube motor I gonna use....

I know I'm late but I'm subscribing anyway!

oops! Sorry, I am almost ready to close this thread and set a new thread for my new tank.
Please give me some suggestion on my new tank.

Hello friend. How is your tank? Did you sort out the algae problem from many months ago?

Hi Sahin,

I have visited London more than 10 times this year for business, and almost stayed in London for entire Sept., thank God my tank keep very stable during my trips.
Algae issue was resolved by adding gobies. Those algae will kill gobies eventually, but then I added new pair of gobies.....

New tank almost ready, but not yet ;-(
