Mmm coral polyps..... Filefish are definitely cool and might be small enough to keep manageable if you've got a HUGE reef in your tank. Clown gobies too.

Those are two great fish! The parrot would eat all your corals, and the grouper would eat all your fish. You'd have that overcrowding problem licked in no time. ;o)

that parrot is gorgeous. I can't believe the colors of fish down here. I'm from chicago where almost all fish are brown or silver! LOL

Hey, Chris
How did you catch a parrotfish with a rod and reel???
Did you tie a frag on the end of the line?

LOL :D

You can catch parrots on shrimp. When the school passes by toss out some chopped up shrimp. They are really hard to catch when near the rocks; My nephew loves to try when they are around. They come in a variety of colors - absolutely gorgeous.

Both were caught at Bahia Honda State Park. Both were put back. The Jewfish (grouper) is illegal to keep. The parrot was caught on rod and reel with dead shrimp in a chum slick.

Way cool Chris! We go to BH every year. Where are you in BH? cant make it out from the pic. You're not on the little island, are you ? JOHNNY

About 30 years ago my dad and a couple diving buddies speared a jewfish in Jupiter inlet, it was so big they had to filet it with a hand saw.

We got a cubic foot of meat. the fish laying on it's side was as tall as I was if not taller.

ANTISEMITIC REMARKS! LOL
Goliath grouper!

I lived in Jamaica in the early 80's, and there where 4 kinds of fish available in the Supermarket: Goat Fish, Butter Fish, Mackrel and Parrot Fish......(Snapper was a rarity).

Needless to say, Parrot Fish was on the menu frequently........washed down with a cold Red Stripe, not too bad at all.:D
