Wow. The swirly orange caps just blew my mind. It's like M.C. Escher did your aquascape.

For an SPS beginner like me, how long does it take (I know, I know... I mean on average) for acros to grow to that size from small frags?

Thanks Jeremy, most of the pieces in my tank were grown from small frags. The caps are probably the fastest growing in the tank. I think the orange cap has around 6-8 months growth on it. It started off as a piece the grew on to the coraling algae and the started to plate out.

actually I have a nano I may setup but trying to find lighting for a 18 in square isnt easy think 25 watt metal halide is too much for a 20 in deep tank haha
