Hey all, I got trigger happy the other day on a few frags that were labeled "Acans". Well they are Acans but of the Echinata variety. I didn't realize that they completely aggressive and kill everything. Since my rock work is basically one giant formation, once they encrust I will have a heck of a time moving them. I was thinking of doing an island and putting them all together. Can you place different Echinata's together?

Yes you can put them together, just not anything that's different, like other acans or micromusa even though the same type of coral they're different and IMO wouldn't risk it.

Do they get more extended than that? They should be puffy looking, here you can look at mine in my thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2540376

There are several different types of acans in my tank as they're one of my favorite corals. You will see several new ones on the last page I just posted a few days ago. I'm going to work on getting better pictures to better show the colors of my corals and fish better than I have taken in the past. Hopefully between now and the weekend I'll get more pictures posted.
