A few anemone questions

Hello all. I have had my anemone now for 6 months. When I got it he was not doing so well, he came from a crashed tank and was about the size of a dime. Now he is quite large. I was told it was a Bubble tip. I hope someone can confirm this. Second question is I was looking at him and noticed a tentacle has a split in it. Is this a normal thing? Is it a bad thing? If it is bad is it caused by stress or something else? Thanks for helping and looking.

cant confirm its species. but I have a green with pink tip bubble tip nem, and its been splitting tenicles. One had a 3 way split that came to one at the top. a few others had developed 2 pink tips and one tenicle. and this one crazy tenicle has a second tenicle jutting right out the side of it. crazy looking.

its as healthy as its always been and nothing had changed, so it must be ok :)

heres a double tip. it eventually split

does it have its foot stuck in the rocks, or the sand?

either way, i love that marbled effect it has. those are so sweet

It is a BTA. Some call that color variety "neon", with the white flecks in the tentacles.
Splitting of tentacles is normal and it looks very healthy.

Thanks Phil, I wasn't ready for him when I got him but I did alot of reading and I have been very happy with him. Now if I can get the clowns to host I will be a very happy guy. Thanks for the ID.
