Here are two of my devils. One has stayed purple since I first got him no matter what he goes on. The lighter one I posted changes color multiple times each day.

Have you tried? I had two together for about a month till one died. It got spooked and stuck between the rock and glass. The two would sit right next to each other most of the day.

No I never tried with the devil scorpion. I have had more then one type of scorp together over the years usually without any issue and currently have a pair of spotfin scorps together.

Nice!! My diabolus is mostly purple now, when I got him he was practically solid white with the black band. It's cool how they change pretty quickly to blend.

Are all three of yours diabolus'?

By "spotfin scorps", do you mean the little Hawaiian fish, Sebastapistes ballieui?

wonder how they'd be with puffers?

Any fish resembling a rock would likely be picked on by any browsing fish. I've even had a puffer take bites out of a SFE's back.
