Hi guys,

I have a biocube 14. It was set up about 2 months ago. My tank has been having a problem with red slime in one area of the sandbed. I dont use tap water, I use strictly nutri seawater for all water changes and bottles of water for topoffs. Lights are on 8 hours a time. I had one koralia nano pump but I just added another today. My current stock is 2 occelarris clownfish, 1 purple pseudo and 1 blue mandarin. I also have a variety of snails, hermits and 3 emerald crabs but for some reason my snails keep dying. My corals are all fine. I have a 2 head duncan with 2 baby heads popping out, pearl bubble, frogspawn, green goniopora, long polyp leather, blastomussa, a large green star polyp and a candy cane coral. Everybody is doing great but I never see tentacles at night is this normal? Also my duncan was open extremely large yesterday and today is now closed. My parameters are

ammonia -0
Nitrite - 0
nitrate - very close to 0
phosphate - .5-1.0
calcium - 520
ph - 8.0-8.2

In my biocube I took out the bioballs and I run aquaclear foam pads, carbon, chemi pure elite, purigen, phosban, fluval water polishing pads, and aquaclear biomax and ammonia remover.

Not sure if 2 months is enough for the tank to have matured and stabilized, especially for goniopora and the like. Does you see the gsp polyps?

Everything is open and awesome. Goniopora is swaying in the flow and usually catches some of the mysis I feed. Green star polyps are always out and a nice bright bright green with a purple base.
