A few fish shots

A couple shots from earlier today. I shoot a Nikon D40x and these were shot with the 105 mm vr free hand in aperature mode.

I have never shot fish with this lens. The lights were out so I shot with flash only.

Any feedback is always appreciated. I have an older version of photoshop (5.5) I still can not find the framing feature or how to put in letters. I used to do that in another program. Thanks

great photos. what aperature are you using, what iso, etc. I too have a d40x and shots of the tank can be a challenge

fancyfish- these shots were taken with a high ISO, probably 800 or 1600 as the fish move to fast, especially the anthias. I usually shoot in aperature mode, around 18-20or manual mode so I can concentrate on over exposing the shot. I have had my camera and lens for about 5-6 months and I just switched tanks so I am still learning how to shoot the upgrade. HTH
