The top one is cool, those are baby clownfish, right? At first I thought it was just some kind of algae.

Wow those shots are amazing! its like a whole different world than the naked eye. loved the first picture the best I think.


I dont even think I noticed my cleaner shrimps legs looking that fuzzy before. great pics.

Thanks guys! Recty, yes those are clownfish eggs. The "momma" is keeping them clean, and the tentacles are from the anemone that the clowns live in.

Alexander, I agree - it is amazing how hairy all the critters are. If you check out the below link to my flickr account, there are a few more of several different kinds of shrimp, crabs, etc.

Thanks for the comments! Octoshark, I used a Nikon D90 with a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR Micro-Nikkor. I also used a Nikon SB-600 flash off-camera.

Wow, TS, thank you. That is a huge compliment, and I am honored. I still consider myself a beginner (only doing photography about 2 years, only shooting macro a few months), and I think this is the first time anybody has called my work "first class".
