A few pics of my Dendro collection

How's that tubastrea that had the white polyps doing? In the pics it looks like the polyps turned yellow. Is that right?

Mike...shhhhh lol
Viper they are still white, I'll try and post new pics of them. I have a lil hair algae problem so had to put them under a cave. But they are growing and eating alot. I need a Rhyzo!

Qckwzrd, very nice sun corals.......the tentacles are still white!! Give it a few more months and see if they change. I had a branching type sun coral whose entire body was dark orange/red but as it got bigger, it is now yellowish.

Still white...They aren't goin anywhere anytime soon. Its been about a month since I posted the first pic. They dont come out during the day but at night they open up all the way! I'm still on the Dendro, Balano and Rhyzo hunt!

capn hylinur, never had that happen to me, maybe the cyano released something that affected the sun corals??

Do you currently have sun corals or dendros in your tank? Qckwzrd take some feeding shots!

postscript----the other day I went to remove the "dead" sun coral---underneath ---the part buried in the substrate--was one lonely polyp--but a nice orange colour.
I put the sun coral in my quarantine tank--and since Sat there are now three polyps--small enough just to be bathing in cyclopeeze
Amazing -----it lives on

Viper the body is white and middle seems to be red. I feed it a lot of cyclops and sometimes mysis. They seem to be getting larger.

Capn tubastrea seem to always throw in a surprise somewhere. I have a skeleton of a black suncoral colony from a few months back and found a single polyp in my tank that has grown alot. Even some orange babies on a candy cane colony. The "white" tubastreas I have also have 3 baby orange polyps under the skeleton.

Anthony got the dendros from someone in his area that was selling some stuff. He wouldn't get that kind of deal from a lfs or online so don't think you missed out on some crazy deal that an online place had.

If some online place had them that cheap, I would have bought them !
So don't worry, you didn't lose out.

street -awesome tube anems in that link.........the black one is tight.
How long have you had yours and do you feed it?

Also tell me more about your sun coral such as what you feed it, how often, etc.

I have had the tube anem about 7 months It gets plenty of food when I feed the fish you could feed it directly but its not need if you feed meaty food for the fish.

I am going to get flamed for this but I do not feed my sun coral and it has been doing great for 6 month new heads popping up all the time I do feed the whole tank marine snow, cyclopeze, and purple up.

Yea I got the Dendros from a local reefer, great coral and great deal! I'm still looking to expand my collection.

Nice looking suncoral, I'm looking to get a very large colony of suncoral. Hard to find large ones around here (NY)

Mike! Niceeee I like the last one. The unknow is nice also but the other one is nice. How much did you pay?

qckwzrd, can't tell you how much I paid.:D I'll just say I couldn't beat your 12 heads for 200 deal:eek1: :eek1:

I really like the unknown dendro one. Its really cool looking.
