5--The two stalks upright are Cali Tort and the one more horizontal are Brent's Tort

Thanks guys,I'm really starting to love sps corals..

Although one member pm'ed me saying he thinks he sees a redbug on my purple monster frag..This has me a little concerned,I took the frag off its mount and looked at it with a magnifying glass..I see the spot that he pointed out,but I do not think it is a redbug..

I also pulled about 10 other acro frags I have and inspected them and did not see anything..I don't know much about redbugs,but would they be all in the acros I have??

Also I do not think I've added any acros for well over a month now..The only new comers I have add two weeks ago were a frogspawn a torch and a blasto,they came from a lfs,not sure but they dont carry redbugs do they??

Ohh and BTW..I do not know how other feel when pointed out something may be worong with your system,but I am very greatful for heads up on matters like these, and others to be honest..

Very good point. There are so many very experienced reefers here that mention things they see and thats a good thing in my book and I welcome there input as well. A second set of eyes can sometimes see the obvious things we see everyday but don't see the problem. Does that make sense lol:hmm4:

Lot of those look familiar Looking good bud!

I don't think your Purple Monster has red bugs. You would see them all over it. That little reddish speck toward the bottom of frag to me looks like an odd reflection of a small polyp. Its right on the tip of the mound where polyps are.

Even if you do ever get red bugs, don't worry its not the end of the world. In fact I've seen some tanks totally infested with redbugs and their acros still looked amazing. They were obviously doing very little harm. They can however over take your acros over time if not treated.

Let me know if you or anyone else ever need some Interceptor. I have lots of it. I always treat incoming acros with it if I'm not certain their pest free.

PS, Redbugs only go on acros from what I understood. I do not believe they would be on your new frogspawn, torch and blasto if coming from a redbug infested tank.

Keep practicing with different settings and tripod. You'll get the hang of it eventually. Your not to far off right now. What kind of camera you using? Its kinda hard to get good macro pics with a point and shoot camera.

haha I do better with my point and shoot :blown: I have a Nikon D3000 now with Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 DI with a LD Macro 1:2 I know crap lens,but all I can afford atm..

I also have the Kit lens 18-55mm

I know I need to figure out my raw settings better,white balance is driving me nuts lol
