A few pictures of my zeovit reactor...

Thank you Ken, if that is an issue then you can put all the rocks in 1 of those mesh bag like for carbon, that will help.

Konadog, Your avatar very nice. Is that your Cap? If so any frag available?
It was a Cap of mine. It's was in my old 100 gallon tank. I just started over again recently with my 225.

loc, I don't have the problem anymore as I'm not using Zeo.

What happened? it didn't work out for you. I am thinking about going into zeovit system, I like to hear your opinion since you were in at 1 time.

Thanks,
Loc

No, it seemed to work great!
Personally I just got tired of shaking rocks, adding a few drops of this and that, and basically sucking my enjoyment time up and turning it into mad scientist time :D

This is the spinning version. You don't have to shake it up and down to stir the rock.

Hey, this one you can spin it or you can shake it whatever you want, that's why I don't put screws on the lid for that reason.

I ended up taking all the small zeolite stones and tying them up in a satchel using window screen. My Grotech would get stuck so bad not even Bob's Grandmother could move it.

The reason the Grotech had the problems IMO is they use a manufactured pre-drilled bottom plate and the holes would intersect the edge. That's where the small stones would get stuck and dig into the body.

konadog, i totally agree with you on becoming mad scientist. I have so many different type of suppliment sometime it is hard to keep track with your dosage. I have to made up a dosing schedule.

I am currently using the Grotec reactor. that darn thing stuck every other day. When i was in school my wife call me up and complain about my reactor so hard to pump everyday. It is good that loc can built this high speed reactor. Thanks once again loc.

Hey Steve,
Did you check for leak in the morning just to be sure? I am really glad that I made a ball join like on the bottom of that spinning bar which makes it spinning and shaking so smooth and easy.

Wow! that's another awesome idea. Don't you just love diy? How many liters of rocks can that bucket hold?

Thanks Ben for sharing a great idea,

thanks Loc!!! :)

it can hold about 2.5g of zeovit media.

what i like about it is that when you 'pump' the rocks up and down...you lift the whole bucket assembly. it doesnt physically move the rocks at all which decreases them from them being broken up into little itty bitty pieces...

yeah, it's almost as rosie o'donnell but it does what it needs...note that i said 'almost' as ugly! ;)

great job on your ca reactor as well!

Huh, Mine you can do both either spin it or lift it up and down. And yours looks like it takes no effort at all to replace the rocks. Thanks for your compliments btw.
