A few problems, a couple of questions

I have a Stream 6085 and a 6125 that both have a loose front grill. Both pumps also run backwards when they are started and I have to pull them out of the water to get them to run correctly. Both are more than 1 year old, but just. The props are not damaged or dirty that I can see. How do I replace the front grills and should I also replace the impellars?
I have another 6125 that had power cord damaged close to the motor. Can this be repaired or is it toast?

Paul,

Send in the 6125 with the damaged cord. The 6085 and 6125 backwards rotation is odd. Make sure they slide easily back and forth on the metal shaft and that the disk 6065.792 is in place under the drive unit (bottom of magnet) if it is missing or in the front, this can stop it. If you have a compass, I would draw a circle on a piece of paper that is the size of the cover, you can then use this to gauge if the front cover is out of round and use it as a guide to squeeze it back into round and it should then lock on. You should also check the four tabs inside the front housing on the back of the cross hatch, if these are broken this can be another cause of backwards rotation but this is very rare and generally only possible on the first pumps made in 2008 when the plastic was thinner, the gauge of the plastic was doubled due to this early issue.
