A few quick bta spitting questions

hi all just wanted some imput

Is it normal for a bta's foot to be on two different rocks and it NOT split?

Does the anemone look normal until it starts the splitting process? Or does it look bad before hand?

would it still eat until it starts splitting?

does it normally hide to split? or this this a case by case basis?

thanks guys. Just wondering if its taking a daytime stroll... or if its contimplating making a twin....

Hi tour.
My 2 mouth split last night and I was able to take over 200 pictures of it and also make a video.
It will be on my site soon.
But to reply to your questions.
Yes they can and will have there foot on two rocks at once, but you didnt say how far apart the rocks are, if it is stretching to reach each rock you have a split starting,
watch the mouth for ellongation, that is where they start the split, never on the foot.
Yes they will eat up to the day before the split, never the same day from what I have experienced.
They have to form mouths and that takes up to a week after the split so no food will be taken in.

wow your two mouth split?? did it split so they both have a mouth? or did it split in the middle of one mouth?

Ill update tomorrow. shes up to somthing. I just moved the tank to my new house so it was either stressed and splitting, or moving in a way unsusal for itself

they split so that they have 2 mouths and then the anemone splits again so that there are 2 anemones with one mouth each.

master. yes i know. but her anemone has had 2 mouths for a long time! just a weird circumstance. so im wondering if she'll have another two mouther..

Hi all, no she split in a straight line with both mouths, both will have one mouth. One just came out of hiding and the foot is healed but the mouth is working on it, the other half is still behind a rock resting and healing.
Will be a few days before the page is up as have so many pictures to go thru, some blurry and many have sand floating as the clowns were very excited about this and they kept stirring the sand under it.
I havnt been able to open the video yet. Have always had trouble doing that.
It is a mini dvd and can't get my dvd player to play it.
Any help appreciated and when I get it open will put in on the web for you to see.
