I had my little point and shoot downstairs and had just scraped down my 55g (but haven't cleaned the salt off the glass just yet sorry!)

so here's a tank thats roughly 1.5 years old - the 55g. Also, the tang is in there as an algae predator and will either be traded away when his job is done or be my excuse for a bigger tank :)

Here you can see my latz, blue tang, cardinal, tailspot blenny, sailfin blenny and possum wrasse

omg. I meant rainbow. it is one, i just have a disconnect sometimes between whats in my head and what my hands type out haha thanks juice. it browned out when i put the new bulbs in but its coloring back up. My new set i have now are a lot whiter than the old ones too so things look a tad different. i just can't believe the growth im getting especially on my mille

....and don't feel bad....I have the same problem.....I let my brain get too far ahead of my fingers :-D

I think part of it is the fact that...

I GRADUATED!

So yeah, brain hasn't felt the need to actually work :)

Thanks!!! Now just trying to find a job that is relatively close to where I live and has something to do with computers and engineering ;p

He is by far one of my favorite fish. I will say, however, as docile as he seems, if he sees a pod even one relatively large, that pod has NO chance. He's a true hunter.

You can kind of see him blurry in the background behind the slug too. He's camera shy unless you're trying to take a picture of something besides him.

I loved your pic post too Inlimbo - the clowns with the blue background should be framed!

Nice! I love that big ol' clown! She's just gorgeous! So you'd give the possum wrasse an A+ for critter control? I've had mine in with my SPS for a while now as an enforcer against anything bad. They're said to be one of the best for pest eradication. Oh, and congrats on the graduation! About darn time Ms. Engineer! Woo hoo!

Well I've seen evidence in my own tank of monti eating nudis going bye-bye with manual removal and the addition of the possum wrasse. I thought he was a cool fish but it turned out he also hunted for those baddies.

I also had a pistol shrimp I added that was very tiny. Maybe 3/4 of an inch long. Before he could make a burrow, CHOMP. Amphipods get sucked up like crazy like that too. They're fantastic and peaceful with everything else. He's fine with the replacement larger pistol shrimp I got too. I try to give them all treats when I change filter socks- the pods stuck to it go back into the tank for some munchin :)

Thanks for the kind words about Gladys :) I've never seen a clownfish so fat or so peaceful. She's more of a column swimmer unless she doesn't see anyone about to beg food from. I hope to get her into a 215 or so and get her a mate and make it my dream tank.. Until the dream house, in wall, win the lotto plan comes into effect :)

Do you have a top on your tank at all? I was considering getting a possum for my tank, but actually watched one jump tanks at SITC (which got me worried as my tank is open top).

I am using eggcrate but he's never been a jumper like almost nearly all other wrasses can be. I think it depends on the species, then the individual as well as tankmates. I'm sure if something stressed him he'd easily jump but I've been lucky. Have had him for.. about ayear or so now? I can't remember the date but his behavior just isn't like that. If anything he's shy.

I guess with an open top tank its a risk you'll have to weigh carefully and if you decide to take it, hope for the best
