A good last meeting

Hello all,
A little late but wanted to thank Tony for taking time from work and family to show us the wonderful dive shots from the Philipines from an aquarists persepctive, and thanks to James, Bills Reef and Tim for their donations to the auction.
And we need to keep the kid away from the 50/50 next time :)

And just a reminder that we normally test for PO4's using a Hach colorimeter, so if you really want to know, bring a water sample to the meeting.
Also, some folks were asking if they could bring corals to the meeting for sale and/ or donation to the club and the answer is a big YES. Let folks know ahead of time on this forum, but you can also just show up with corals too. We've never met a coral we didn't like.
Great to see some old time faces, as well as the new attendees and new members.

Sorry I meed the meeting.

I also miss the days where we had tables (and paid the $10.00 to the club) to sell their stuff. Is this something that died off when we moved to James' location or is this still possible?

Thanks,

--Dave--

The table fees were eventually waived as the people who were selling donated a few frags for the auction. I'm sure we all would welcome back more folks selling frags at each meeting, and not all frag sales have to be pre arranged so bring your frags to sell, you have a captive coralaholic audience who would rather spend money on coral then feed their kids;) so bring those frags...

Thanks for the awesome presentation and stunning pictures! Also thanks Joe for the PO4 advice :)

Joe, I'm a little confused. Which form is the real LIRA one? It seems that the LIRA website also has a forum for club news and member / non member coral / equipment sales but you mention and tell members to post on this forum things pertaining to the club?. which one should we check and post on?

Joe,

Please let me know if the club needs separate tables at a separate location for members to sell their stuff. I can setup the table in the long corridor next to the meeting room.

James

Tom,
That's what I figured. But then why isn't this the "official" LIRA site and why waste.money on another website for LIRA that no one uses?

I'm not Joe, nor do I play him on TV...but from a selling perspective, someplace to lay out bags of frags, etc. so that people can see what your offering is really the only way to go, other than pre sold items.

mrSnoid,

The "other" club forum is useful for things that are best kept off of RC, such as club business that shouldn't be discussed in public, "family" spats (yes we've had those  ), and a place were commercial members of the club can post items without getting in trouble ;)
