A hole just appeared in his mouth (ripped)...

I was just doing a little maintenance and then all of a sudden realized a hole on the side of his bubble - I am not sure if the clowns did this (they were cleaning a lot and just laid more eggs today) or if it did it on its own.

Here are pictures. Would you leave him alone or put him in a hospital tank with cipro? Also do you think he will make it?

He was the one I was talking about awhile ago if I should pop his inverted bubble mouth. I remember you told me not to pop it (I never did it myself) and to focus on water quality which I did. He has had an inverted "bubble" mouth for close to a year. The two clowns hosting him are decently hard on him (nuzzling up on him with force), but he is also a relatively large haddoni.

A few days ago, I put in a hydro PH to see if extra flow might help (thought there may have been a dead spot), left it on for 3 hours and I believe he started expelling a ton of zoo (though it is not for sure - it was stringy and light brownish). I then fed him (I know now I shouldn't have) two small pieces of shrimp to help get protein after seeing him expell whatever he did and he ate them. The next day he perked up and looked great. This morning he also look good (the bubble has never been smaller then it was this morning). I saw the hole while moving a small rock and I could see some of his tissue hanging on being blown from the current where the hole is. I have had him for many many years, and this inverted "bubble" mouth problem only happened once I moved him to his new tank and it has never gone away since - even when he eats (he was under 150 watt mh and now he has been under dual 400 watt metal halides).

Here is a close up the hole/ rip

and the square photo is more or less how his mouth always looked for almost a year

and one last thing which is strange at least to me - he has these two very small bubbles on his inverted mouth - they almost look like what water blisters look like on a person . If you look at the picture in the first post with his mouth up close, you can see it on the left bottom of his mouth ... just not sure if it's normal or not and figured it wouldn't hurt to mention it just in case it means something

This picture might be a little better, just took it. He is more or less the same since he shrunk down after I noticed the hole. He is normally more than double in size then he is right now

I am very close to doing so and you are right - I do not think the clowns are helping. I could also move him away from where they laid eggs/ more directly under the halide in the meantime. (The clown fish would stay around the eggs - at least I think they would). Do you think that would be a smart move too?

Should i cipro or just leave in hospital tank? He is looking worse today- taking him out now and putting him in a 16 gallon recycle bin with a 150 watt mh small power head and heater
