A little concerned-new yellow tang

Purchased a nice plump yellow tang ( 3.5 inches) Wednesday night. From an earlier thread I stated that he was picking at the rock the next day. However he has not taken anything introduced thus far( spirulina,mysis, omega pellet,nori and a frozen spiulina formula) I'm quite surprised at this.Nothing in the tank is bothering him as I only have 2 percs and 2 yellow tail blues. Tank is 75 gallons with lots of rock. He is out in the open and prefers a certain spot in the tank and rarely strays from it. All parameters are good -tank pristine with lots of rock. Is there anything to worry about or is this a matter of time? In the meantime the fish was at lfs for a week and figured he would be fine? Opinions please and thank you.

As long as the fish looks healthy and is picking off the rock, I wouldn't be concerned.

If he is rubbing up against the rock as if he is scratching himself, that may be a sign of trouble. If he is picking at the rock, he his probably snacking.

Thanks did notice some flashing but not scratching himself from my observation. If this fish gets ick Ill be extremely ****ed. Acclimation was perfect. LFS - buy the fish-its yours-good luck!!!
