A little help with drain/return?

I've had my tank up and running for about four months, everything was running fine 'till this morning.

The area in my sump where the return pump is, keeps running low on water:confused: . It's divided by a simply baffle, on the other side of the baffle is my skimmer and drain with filter sock.

Usually the water on both sides is level, but the drain side is a lot higher today and the return pump side is pumping all it's water out to the tank.

In the baffle is a foam filter, I cleaned it and returned it, but it was still the same. Then, I took the filter out altogether, no change. The filter sock is clean, put a new one in yesterday.

Right now I have the return pump shut off.

Any suggestions?

The return pump area is where you are going to see a change in water level due to evaporation. You should be topping off FRESH water, not salt, to keep up with the evap. Setting up an auto top off would be a good idea too. :)

I have an ATO. Didn't realize it 'till now, but the suction cup in the sump slipped down. I put it back where it's supposed to be and everything is level. Time to glue the suction cup to the glass.
