On a side note, I have mine at regular reef temperature 76-82F and do not see any issues with either the Mcc or the Latz.

Corals (generally speaking) do well at cooler temps. It's fish that suffer.

I actually keep both my tanks at 72 degrees. I have yet to find a fish that doesnt do better (IMO) at these temps. In this tank, there is a pair of MCCs, the little colini, a stowaway melanurus wrasse (the strangest hitchhiker EVER), and a captive bred mandarin that I got from the MOFIB botth at MACNA Atlanta. All have thrived.

Perhaps. Its hard to say. I feed my fish like mad, so they certainly have enough metabolic input, but there growth seems....normal. The quicker growing fish in the big tank (like angels and tangs) really spurted, so I wouldnt say the lower temp impaired them. But, I never really thought about it. FWIW, many of my fish are cooler watered species, so I would argue that they woudl be natural growth rates.
