so i was messing around with the apex controller all day yesterday and finally learned how to turn on these leds,
i have to say, the apex controller is pretty nice that i can remote program it while on my couch
i am noticing serveral issues:
1. with the the HLG-100-36B drivers connected to the vdm 1 & 2 output with
setting 0, measured ~.6V not 0v. with setting 100 the output voltage 10.9v not 10v.
2. i believe the HLG-100-36B are constant current drivers, so with the same dimming output voltage measured from the vdm 1 & 2, it looks like both the led output different intensity, that the one was noticable lower. thinking i have some bad leds, so i swapped the leds from the driver and noticed that the other led now is noticable lower,
i believe the way constant current driver works is that for a given setting it will output that current consistantly therefore the output intensity remains constant from led to led, where the voltage drop across the led can differ.
becuase for some reason i can not measure the output current of the driver i instead measured the voltage, for led1=30v and led2=31v, swapped leds from the drivers then measured again for voltage, now led1=31v and led2=30v, seems like these leds are well matched becuas they exhibit the same votage when swapped, which leads me to believe the HLG-100-36B drivers are outputting two different current for the same setting,
if i am wrong at this please let me know

was wondering if there is a pot inside the driver to adjust?
3. a quick thought... i dont believe this drivers are capable of driving 100w into the leds becuase when using a watt meter on the AC input it measured 95w with the dimming input "open", which will output max current. so with 95w input, and some loss, the output to the led has to be less...
i am sure i need be more educated, please let me know what you guys/gals think, but really, i am happy with the way the lighting setup is going
