A Needed Extra Thank You To Mike B.

Dear Club Memebers,

I feel as though we have as a club made great strides in strengthening our relationships with the LFS and improving our raffles in the mean time. While I have worked very hard at this cause, I feel as though I am getting a bit too much of the praise as well. I just wanted to use this post as a way of giving a great part of the credit to Mr. Mike B. or my friend Michael Bedford. Mike has worked hand in hand with me in collecting donations, pandering at the LFS and being a major donator as well. Mike has personally donated over 100 dollars worth of his personal money at LFS for reef items. He has also donated 2 pico's, several corals, and even a bucket of ReefCrystal salt to the table. He has done all of this just to help out and has never asked for a thank you or a dime in repayment. With his nomination to a spot on the BOG pending I felt it was time to give him his due and thank him for all his hard work and generosity. I can not imagine a better man for the job. Thanks Mike, as my friend and on behalf of the club.

P.S. Mike has no idea I am posting this!! :D

Good to know. I had my suspicions, but nothing concrete. Without people like him silently supporting the club, I feel we would not have nearly the positive enviroment we currently have. So another thank you seems fair.

My we are polite little reefers around here. Always happy to say thank you to those who help us out.

I think this is great.

Thank you Mike.

Yeah i agree Mike rocks. I have dealt with him a few times and he has always been very generous to say the least.

He was definetly 1 of the guys i will be voting for the BOG.

I have seen him at meetings but he use to be postzilla on here and i havent seen much of him lately.

All...

You are all very welcome for the little things I can do to help make MARS a great thing to be a part of. As a fellow reefer, diver, collector, researcher, conservationist, etc. it really is about people like us helping each other to further the cause and knowledge.

In addition to being a part of MARS, I have also founded a R+D organization dedicated to marine life propagation research to further the aquaculture front. I really do believe this is the future of our hobby as threats to our underwater ecosystems place increasing responsibility on all of us to do our part when we can. You can learn more about that on my homepage.

Anyhow, I have had some personal things come up in my life that has taken my time as of late, but rest assured, I live for our meetings and am always able to find time to help out. It just meant my RC time went out the window there for awhile. :( I have been nominated for BoG because there I feel I can further share ideas and vitality to reach more people and do more for our members. I have lots of ideas; just ask - I will bore you to tears with em! Things like: club organized diving and collecting trips; club research programs for livestock breeding techniques with our own local network of reefers; better access to annual reefing events (club sponsored transportation for example); more swaps and meets, and loads more!

So be sure to show to the polls next month at our meeting - this is your club and what better way to shape it!

And again, you are all very welcome for my small part.
