A New Blenny

The tailspot may be shy at first, but normally they are very much out and about and will watch you as much or more than you will watch him, great personality, one of my must have favs

My Starry was/is the same... for the first 2-3 weeks, very very cautious... now, he sucks the mysis right out of my feeder syringe, and anytime anyone walks into my office (where that tank is), he rushes off/out of any rock he's perched on and hovers near the top/front of the tank, saying... "FEED ME!" (even if he was just fed five minutes earlier...lol)

Just curious are all 3 of those blennys in 1 65g tank thats on your sig? If so hows the aggresion / temperament? Interesting your starry blenny is picky.. mine goes crazy for mysis too. (He still has plenty of his greens haha)

Yes, I have had the lawnmower for roughly a year and a half counting my previous tank. I got the Midas maybe 4-5 months ago.. he immediately kicked my lawnmower out of his hiding hole, but no fighting at all. I held off on the starry blenny for the longest time fearing aggression. My LFS finally got one in and I had to have him and took a risk. The starry did immediately establish dominance over the lawnmower and will chase it occasionally. No biting though. I have caught them eating dried seaweed together though.. but they are not overly aggressive. I don't regret doing what I did. I do regret getting an arc eyed hawk though. He hates everyone, but is too fast to catch. I'll remove him the next time I break the tank down along with my hippo.

My tailspot was always out and about doing something, weather it was rasping some algae off the rock, hunting for new "homes" amongst the holes in the rocks, people watching from one of these said holes, or teasing my royal gramma. I have a couple larger fish as well, hippo tang and Atlantic blue, Even the presence of these heifers wasn't enough to keep my tailspot in the rocks.

I have a royal gramma in my tank. Would the tail spot bug it alot?

Pardon the correction, but this is not accurate... my starry blenny devours mysis shrimp, along with sucking algae off my rocks and glass.

Yea took mine a couple of days, but now chows down on anything I've fed the tank. Mysis, clam/table shrimp mix, brine shrimp. And is doing work on the algae around the tank.

Got a laugh yesterday, he was eating the fro growing on one of my snails.
