Skunk Hybrid Freak
I got some black foots over the weekend. They're currently residing in a 60 hex with a LTA. They got dipped in formalin before going in my tank.
Any advise???

For all the picture freaks.

Feed'em well and get ready for them to break down in a similar manner as chrysopterus....

If they make it past the first two weeks, IME they are bullet proof, uninterruptable spawners, and quite aggressive.

One responder, 23 picture freaks. ;p

Thanks traveller7. You're always very helpful. Have we met? Perhaps at a CMAS or WAMAS related function?

With the amount of of WAMAS meetings I actually make it to.....I am sorry to say we probably have not met :( I keep trying to break out the time to hit CMAS gatherings as well, but lets just say weekends are tough for my clan.

As you are already aware, most folks have had dismal acclimation success with the Nigripes, I am not surprised the responses have been scarce.

The good news: There have been at least 3 breeding pairs on RC, and I know of another local that could bring two more pairs online if they wanted. I am not aware of anyone actually rearing the little buggers and I certainly don't have time to raise mine.

btw: you have a PM ;>)

I got my pair earlier

I got my pair earlier

this year. The large female died in transit and the smaller male took right to the 4 anemones in my tank.

She has been doing well but from time to time her dorsal fin looks like its being injured.

Mine is very shy and i think when spooked she hides in the rocks and hurts her dorsal find. But anyways you guys need to get some juvis cause i need a small male for her..

She eats like pig mysis, flake, pellet, silversides, live mysis, and cyclopeeze

Well if I can, I'll start collecting the unusual clowns. I just need to create the space and a sound practice to keep them healthy after shipping. That seems to be the number one killer with the "rare" species. I love to keep them and love to hook other people up. The losses are the one thing that keeps me from doing it. If I can do it for myself 80-90% of the time, I'd consider it.
