A pic of my 75 g today 1 year details.

Reading up on your tank, I saw the pictures on page 3 where you show your whole room (very nice home gym I might add)I would defently be spending alot of time with tank in there.
And I saw the Nemo, and Dory laying on the floor, I have them as well but they are in my tank, while I'm buying things piece by piece to set it up, I get more comments about them than I do my freshwater tanks. Friends just laugh when I tell them it's a college saltwater tank on a budget.I have a picture in my gallery. Very nice tank though. Your pictures are amazing-Ryan

Tony, beautiful tank my man, just beautiful. its grown in nice from the first page.

i didnt read all 17 pages so if these questions are answered send me back. i dont want to waste your time or anything, but id like to know, is the butterfly and naso the same ones from page 1?

did you decide on MH yet? i recently upgraded my 75 reef from 440w VHO, and added 2 - 250w MHs.

what bulb color combo are you using now?

The Naso is the same one, the butterfly is not. The first butterfly died when i tried to q tank it for Ich. This new butterfly nips at my sps corals.
I have not upgraded my lighting yet. I have the higher canopy, I have to stain it yet, then order the new lights. It will be a while till I have time or money to do that. All my time and money now goes into starting my own business.
Nice color zoos in your avatar, can I have some?

the zoos are growing quite well. ive added about 10 polyps to the original frag of 20 in about 6 weeks. when i get a few extra im sure we can work out some sort of trade :D youve got a lot of nice stuff on your tank too! if you ever care to see pics of some different lighting configs on a 75 give me a whirl. i had a thread a while back that followed my tank through all the upgrades (VHO bulbs then to MH). im sure i could dig up a link, or if you want you can search my user name for a thread title "My TBS expirience" (yes mis-spelled :p). all the lighting happened in the last 10 or so pages and i ended the thread with progress pics, so you can really see all the different lighting all together.

OMT, after typing this i remembered i moved some things around in my photobucket, so the latest full shot may not show up, but all the different bulb combos should be shown.

Nice pics on your page H20
Here is one from today of mine.

That is an amazing picture! The clarity and sharpness are outstanding. I have been following along (all 17 pages) and am learning a lot. Thank you to everyone.

thanks Tony! they are pale in comparison to your pics though. your camera and pics are FAR superior to mine. im getting in a lot of practice as i too like taking pics as much as just looking at the tank.

i just read your whole thread and wish i would have begun tagging along sooner. your automation makes me wonder why i still carry jugs from the garage into the house :D but then seeing your exercise room reminds me why :D i need the exercise.

i wish i could get full colonies of SPS like you have. all my pieces are 1-3". i must say even going with 20k halides, i get a lot more growth than i did with all VHO. i ran 10ks and super actinics when i first set it up, then went to actinic whites and super actinics for a while. you will be very happy when you switch to MH no matter what wattage and color you get.

i have pics in my photobucket (red house) of my canopy with 4 VHOs and 2 halides if you didnt get that far. if you are not concerned with using a spider type reflector you should keep all four VHOS, IMO & E. it just gives you more options for bulb combos, to get the color like you like it.

well great tank! i will be following along for the rest of the journey.

Peccavi18 they are easier to keep that , and way less expensive.
H20 thats alot of light 4VHO and the two MH. I will be doing 2 VHO and 2 MH.

sweet tank i like the clean look . lots of swimming space for the fish i am going to re do my rock work to look similar to yours. keep up the good work

I removed my Long Nose butterfly today, she was eating sps corals. My first LNB didn't do that.
I caught her early in the am while she was sleaping, easy to net when sleaping , impossible once the lights come on.

I have been too busy for any kind a pics. But nothing has really changed since last pic, tank is doing great . Other then having lost two SPS corals to the LNB.
I still have my new taller canopy in box waiting to be stained , then the install of MH. Have no idea when I will get to it.
