A pic of my 75 g today 1 year details.

They are gorgeous...like most Grammas. I hope everything works out well for you! You have wonderful photos as well.

Thanks, they really add a nice little splash of color. Everything is going well now, I glued the sea swirl together so it doesnt blow apart. The only thing I have yet to work on is I want to add a green Monti Cap , beside the orange one . I also have had flat worms for ever , they do not do anything bad , and they stay under and on rock , no corals, but I want them gone. i have been syphoning them out and will get Velvet nudibranchs to eat them as well.

Great looking tank!

I see that you are in PA. The NCPARS is having a coral swap event in Hegins, PA on october 24.

You can check out the details at www.fragswapper.com

It looks like it should turn out to be a good event. Just thought that you might be interested since you seem to have a healthy appetite for corals.

Eric

What a beautiful tank, and outstanding photography. I just started on a mission of doing a full reef ... of course I started with FO, then FOWLR ... then of course I wanted a coral. Now, I'm on tank #2 and going full reef. I hope that mine turns out 1/2 as nice as yours in a years time.

Hey Tony great tank.

I currently have a 55 gallon upgrading to 75 this weekend. After I cycle new tank will slowly move fish over to 75 gallon. What are some good fish to go with a blue/green cromis, flame angel, gs maroon clown, blue hippo tank, and neon dotty back. Wife would like a couple more fish. Oh I will eventully have a emrald green crab in there as well.

My royal grammas add alot of color to the tank, and they do not hide in rocks. The lawnmower guy is cool to look at too. I would have gotten a wrasse if I could have found one locally , but they did not ship well for me. I have been having bad luck with emerald crabs, I have not been able to keep them alive for more then few months, the only think that doesnt make it for me.

I also have had problems with emerald crabs for some odd reason. Maybe I do not have enough hair algae, but mine never seem to last for long as well.

Funny that the emeralds are hard to keep. I think I will try one more time with two emeralds.
I have a purple Montipora foliosa at home waiting for me to put in my tank. it is going to go next to my orange monti cap.

My daughter's Nano tank has a hair algae problem, so I got an Emerald crab to help with it. I do not have much luck either with them, only lasting up to 3-4 months in the main tank. I found the shell of it thinking it died, so I pulled it out just to find it molted after 4-5 days of having it. It has trippled in size maybe because there is so much hair algae for it, it is like a monster after a month and a half. The body not including it's legs is about as big as a half dollar now, where it was just smaller than a quarter when I got it.

Hey, get us a nice picture of the Monti. I can't wait to see it, just like a kid at X-Mas.

Tony, you are such a great photog...and I am setting up my 90 to simulate your 75...I hope!... anyway, I want to do the VHO lights. Can you take a pic and tell me how you have your light setup assembled? (Ihave a Oceanic Oak canopy too)

Nirol, I will take a pic of the canopy with the lights in it tonight and post it sunday for you. And the monti too.

Tony, your tank is looking FANTASTIC!!!!! I had no idea could could put more than one RG in a 75!!!! I'd have done it a long time ago!!!!!! I have been reading your whole thread and I'm so happy your tank is doing so well!!! Also, you are quite the photographer, your Fall pics are amazing to say the least!!!!

I also love Dr. mac corals, I love that WYSIWYG. I have recently added a purple firefish to my tank. HE is doing awesome and if you are considering one, I highly recommend. It gets along with all my fish!

Keep up this thread, it's people like you that give people like us the will to pursure this hobby. TWO Great big thumbs up!!!!!

Also, I'll be getting some corals in from Dr. mac soon as well!

Amanda (your 75 gallon buddy)

Thanks AEA , i follow your thread too, and it is definately threads like yours that help people want to pursure this addicting hobby.
I have three fire fish, not purple thow, they almost always hide, does your purple one hide?
The two gramas dont bother anyone and get along good so far, and seeing the two of them is a nice splash of color.
I only buy my corals wysywig , from Dr Mac and Cquarium.
The new monti is from Cquarium , I will post a pic of it tomorow when the lights are on on the tank, I am so happy with it, it fit the spot I wanted to fill perfectly, especilly as it grows in.

Nirol , here is a pic of my canopy showing the lights and showing where the sea swirls are.

Thanks johndawg , the pics were from tioga county , it was a 3 + hour drive for me to get there. It is called the Grand Canyon of PA

Tony, thanks so much for the pics of the light setup, exactly what I needed to know! You are so helpful. I really appreciate it! A few more questions: Where is the light ballast mounted? Are the little black boxes "moonlight LEDs"? How long do you leave the lights/moonlights on? Do you have a dimmer? Do you have any fans to remove heat, or does it need it? Thanks again for answering my many questions.
