Very nice :) are they spawning in the sand?????

no they cleared out all the sand. the tank is set up BB and the bottom is a sheet of FRP. we had to remove the anemone from another tank to this one so we placed sand in one corner for it

thanks Debi and everyone else. ill keep this thread updated and if anyone see's us doing anything wrong please chime in.

I don't want to sound stupid here but, what is FRP?

FRP is fiberglass reinforced paneling. there about 1/16" thick by 4x8. there used mostly for dividers in restrooms. inert, easy to cut and cheep

Hi -
I have a pair of small (probably juveniles) brown Polymnus clowns. They have not paired up yet; the bigger one chases the small one around a lot. How long did you have yours before they spawned? Also, how big are they? I have several pair of clown fish but none are spawning yet.

ours were about 1 1/2" when we got them. they were not paired when we got them but did pair up with in a month or so. we've had them for 9 or 10 months and this is the 5th or 6th spawning. the female is about 4+" and the male 3"

we collected our second batch of larva Thursday night. only half the eggs hatched. we got about 150 larva and as of today about 25 have died, the rest seem to be doing great and eating well. the rest of the eggs hatched the next night but after being up untill 3:30am the night before we weren't up to doing it again.
