A PTC "run dry" question.

They way I want to plumb my PTC's will have them "run dry" (no water going through them) if my main pump is shut off.

Will this harm/damage the units?

yes, especially if it is heating

if it is doing nothing there is no need for flow

If I manually shut off the PTC's power supply, upon turning them back on again, will the Profilux begin controlling them again without problems?
