A question about lighting?

Hello,

I am currently running 4 48" florescents, 2 10,000K and 2 actinics. I was thingking about adding 2 48" VHOs and was wondering what king of experience others have been having with VHO lighting.

Also, I have a canopy that would stop any fish from doing some carpet surfing, but i still also have a glass top between the lighting and the surface water.

Do you think the glass top would interfere with the lighting at all??

well it will cut down on the light a little however it really effects the gas exchange and the evaporative cooling of the tank. What are you planning on keeping is this a FOWLR or what. With that light you should be able to keep some mushrooms and things of that sort

I'd remove the glass, tank temp being the main concern.
