I have a large FOWLR tank, I can not take all the fish out. What I did last night was take all the live rock out (except two large pieces). The gravel is still in the tank. I'm going with the hypo method. Will this work if the gravel is still there? I also have ozone and just bought a UV unit.

Hyposalinity kills invertebrate lifeforms. This means that all the life inside and on the rock, inside and on the sand will die. You'll loose not only all these lives and turn your live rock into 'base rock' but you'll be causing a large sudden pollution to your tank that may just kill the fish you're trying to save. It is highly recommended to remove the fish to a tank where you can control the water quality and not be connected to a tank that will suffer so much die-off during the treatment process. :)
