A quick question for those that have used PVC for building abstract structure bases for rock work. What have you done about the writing on the pipe as well as the stickers on all the joint pieces? What have you used that is reef safe for cleaning these two items off the pipe? Thank you.

Alcohol maybe? I'm just guessing, as I've never done it. But, as long as it dries, it won't affect the water.

This is assuming that it would actually remove the print. :p

I wouldn't use anything chemical... scrape off what you can in terms of sticker, and i wouldn't expect the writing to be an issue... just leave as is.

Added: Vinegar is always safe for cleaning... as is bleach and acetone as long as you let if evaporate, but I can't bring myself to use the last two and I advise against it, especially if you are going to submerge something cleaned in it directly into your tank.

I recommend sand paper, it will get everything off, and you will have faster coralline encrustations.
