You know, if corals don't stay too long in a low light environment, they just think it was a few cloudy days and go right back to doing what they were doing, when the sun comes out again. Just a thawt.
i have rescued many a dying coral frag from the remnants of once large corals for sale. Just a tip is all that is needed. with a little care, that lone frag once again grows to become a large mother colony. It is how i collect genetic diversity for my tanks. I can't afford a lot of big center piece corals. so i rescue bits and pieces from the dump tanks. not all make it, but many do. it's amazing how small a piece, maybe one or two polyps, even on acros, can survive and grow, in the right conditions. life on all levels strives to survive. i just give them a chance.
