A Rather Unique Angelfish.

Hi

I know there are many angelfish experts on this forum. Was wondering what you guys think about this angelfish, which is available at a LFS.

Its about 4+ inches

Labelled as a Koran angelfish. Will it just grow out of these markings into a regular Koran Angelfish?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I only kept a Koran for a couple of months "MEAN". Maybe I had a bad one? He is cute

Over the years I have grown several out in Fish Only tanks. They all seem to mature the same. Never had any issues with aggression, but I kept them with lots of tangs and other angels.

it sure is a koran with unique pattern...the near circular at the end almost resemble a emperor...may be a hybrid,who knows(perhaps copps or luiz)....

would love to see it's progress...keep us informed..

Pretty sweet mis-barred Koran. IME they always grow into normal Korans but if you are in the market for a Koran get this dude and enjoy his interesting pattern when while he grows up. I used to always troll the wholesalers for mis-barred Koran in the hopes that they were hybrids but no such luck

Korans are very underrated angels. They look spectacular as adults IMO but they do need very large tanks to realize their awesomeness. They are also super hardy once you get them dewormed, etc.
