what if i want to breed clown fishes but i cant find rotifers culture in my country ? what can i feed them other than that? and the red sea is very close to my can i get a culture from the sea by my self or a substitute food? plz help me on this i'm still a beginner and i really want to breed clown fishes i'll really appreciate any help or suggestion...thanks in advance.
 
I'm not sure about the import laws in Egypt. I would talk to your local fish store. They should be able to get some for you. If not, you may be able to get some over the internet through an online store.
 
thanks nirvanafan for replying so quickly, i've thought of getting some over the internet but i'm afraid that it will take so much time and maybe the culture get damaged or dead when i recieve them... is there is any other way to feed the larvae

You can get rotifer cysts.

I just did a quick search and found the following.

I'm not extremely familiar with rotifers, but I believe that if they die, you can rehydrate them and they will come back to life. If you don't have it yet, pick up a copy of the book "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson. It is pretty much considered the bible of breeding clownfish. Good luck with everything and keep us posted on your progress.
 
With the Red Sea right there, I'll bet you can find a University with a Marine Science program that might have some cultures.
