LOL... I am sorry Wayne. I have been buried with a couple of projects.
You know, I do need to work to pay for all these toys. I am going to try to respond to everyone and post some new pics shortly.

Hey guys. Sorry that I haven't been on much this past week. I received several PM's and emails wondering where I have been. No worries and thanks guys! I have just been swamped with work. I do need work now and then to support three teenagers, my wife and this crazy hobby.:lolspin:
Things with my tank are going pretty good. When I have been able to work on my system, I have been spending a lot of time programming my Apex. The system is amazing and I don't know how I went so long without it. Thus far, I have my Vortechs programmed, my dosing pumps, skimmate locker, kalk stirrer, lights on my refugium, qt tanks, power heads, ATO, sand reactor, probes... I am sure there are more. I have the program on at all times at the office.
I have email and text messaging alerts set to notify me when my temperature or PH is out of whack. When my skimmate bucket is full, if my sump is high or low. I still have a lot more alerts and programming to set up. I am able to turn "on" or "off" any outlet I have programmed off my iPhone, iPad or computer. Same with programming... I can change any setting or times on any outlets such as my dosing pumps.
As you can tell, I am pretty pumped about it!
The livestock and tank conditions are pretty good. I have been having a hard time dialing in my Alk. It's been running around 8 dkh and I want it to be 9-10. I keep increasing my Alk dosing pumps.
I am hoping that I will be able to release a few fish out of one of my QT's this Friday.
Speaking of Friday, I missed posting my last FedEx Friday deliveries. No livestock to report. I did get a couple packages. Some spare parts from Deltec and a shipment from BRS - mostly Kalk, Carbon and GFO.
I will try to post some updated pics soon and respond to some of the posts I have received tomorrow.

You still thinking about getting the Achilles Tangs? Just curious cause I will eventually be getting 1 myself and want to know how succesful others are with them.

I am absolutely planning on getting a couple of small Achilles. I had two in my old tank. As soon as my QT opens up, I will be ordering them. I have set up my old UV dedicated to the QT's.
Hopefully after Thanksgiving I will get a pair! They are beautiful fish!

How did you deal with humidity during the monsoon season when it was hot and humid outside?
Im building a new house with a 300g in wall tank plus sumps and q tanks probably around 400g total volume, the fish room will 48 ft2 in size, still havent decided yet if I should install a mini-split to deal with heat & humidity or just install an exhaust fan and a chiller.
The fish room does have a small vent from the central AC but it isnt turned on all the day just during lunch on really hot days...
Any suggestions to deal with humidity here in the desert?

Alright boys...
So I was bored and gritting my teeth watching the election coverage last night. I needed to keep myself busy while yelling at the TV. I figured that before I had to start paying more money in taxes and healthcare I better place some orders for FedEx Friday. So, I am making up for last week.

Actually, I know I have a problem! If my wife see's this months American Express bill she is going to be questioning my sanity! Then she is going to go out and spend three times as much at the mall.
Thank goodness there is not a Home Shopping Network for marine life on TV.
Remember when I said that I was bored and went nuts making orders while watching the 2012 Election coverage? I just checked my email and have received shipment notifications for 10 different shipments that should be arriving tomorrow. God help me.
I am excited about one shipment. Scott, from Unique Corals, is sending me a few special items.

I went through a month of my wife seeing a credit statement with all the expenses for the fish tank and she went to Bloomingdales, sachs and Louis Vuitton to catch up. This unfortunately happened when I originally set up the tank, what a disaster. Now I have an entity called lighthouse real estate ventures, the bill goes to the office and they support the fish tank hobby. The things we have to do LOL
If you have kids, its even worse because she will go and spend equally as much for them !!!!

You laugh but there is a good chance I may be living near Tampa next year and setting up a large tank. Sooooooooooooooo I'll send everything to you and you get to cover for me.
Maybe that is what we need to setup a network of sending deliveries to someone else's place.
