Wait until you see the fish react to me dumping in two mysis cubes, flake and mini pellets all mixed together in a jar of tank water lol...........
Wow great pics. Need to learn how to take pics like that. I want a piece of the last one.
Seriously I expanded your pic and at the lower end of the crab appendage I see what looks like a tiny seahorse head. Look again and you'll see it too :hmm4:
How deep is your tank and are you running 250's or 400's? Have you given any though to applying your creative talents to the multitude of power heads you have?
Nice!!!!
Did I say nice? I meant crazy nice!! Like, supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus NICE!!!
I'm loving the scape you are developing with the stags surrounded by the more massive and plating corals.
That last macro is stunning with the contrasting body and polyp colors.
Crazy... But they are all fantastically good. The lepto (I think it's a lepto-the orange clumpy one) is also a superb capture. These are not done with a simple macro lens, are they??
I was thinking that sand may never make it into your reef but then I realized that you would never leave the bases of your scape creations exposed.
Now, what I really want to see is what is going on, on top of your tank!![]()
So how many people are trying the "skimmate dosing" deal at night now?
I haven't tried it but I'm thinking about putting a valve on the drain and try this madness on my tank. It all makes sense and would work pretty good on my tank as I use biopellets.
Skimmer sucks up the remains pretty quick so it's clean waters in the morning.
Wow great pics. Need to learn how to take pics like that. I want a piece of the last one.
Other than feeding with skimmer contents, can you provide details/breakdown of what foods you are feeding the fish? Thanks.
How, often do you feed your tank this combo?
yes I agree. Fantastic macro work. I think you need a nice macro lens on your DSLR along with a sturdy tripod I think!
All those gorgeous colors and fish, you live in Australia....
Yet not a single Angel?
C'mon biggles.... Get a beautiful angel in there and show em how its done!
Well your years of experience show in that amazing layout and scapeseriously one of the biggest inspirations out there matey, mind bogglingly good :uhoh3:
Your mentality is something I really enjoy and share views with, it's something most people should have a good contemplate on. Even is it is a little twisted
Oh and the tank is looking amazing
You mean I missed the mermaid too? I think a Gyre would work well on your set up, maybe one at each end on an alternating program.
Sounds like a good plan, a single 150 should work nicely![]()
It definitely does have to be fun! I can see the difference in bulbs now you mention their locations, do you have the same t5s next to each bulb? Either way I love the looks so seeing your tank like this really helps me feel confident about moving away from my lovely LED's lol
First coral trip in a few weeks tomorrow morning, hopefully all the nice acro's in Victoria haven't already gone in your tank! I'm going at opening time to make sure I get first pick :uzi:
