A Splash of Color

I love the video Andrew. I have shared it on my Facebook page as well as on a group's (WorldWide Reefing) page on Facebook.

I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as i did Bulent and thanks for sharing it :)

Bad news..........

My PB subscription is due on the 18th of this month and there is no more monthly payment accounts - everything must be paid up 12 months in advance regardless if you were a customer already when the terms changed.

I got an email offering me 3 months extra for free if i pay for the $399- account since i was already a valued customer lol. This is the only account which allows third party hosting, the next one down is $99- and no third party forum hosting of images.

I have gone into my paypal account and cancelled the next payment since i don't trust them not to automatically take $99- as this was the account offered to me when i tried to fix the recurring payments 'problem'.

I expect this journal will be an image barren disaster on or soon after the 18th but i intend to start another journal when the time comes and have taken the news rather well i think despite what the fish would lead you to believe.........

That's very unfair isn't Andrew? The strange thing is that I have not received any email from PB of this nature. I have just double checked all my emails again. There is nothing. However, they offered me a Plus 500 account for $147.97. They seem to be treating their customers differently.

Very sad news as well. Part of the pleasure of these journals is viewing the progression your garden and our hobby makes over the years and this will be lost.

I've made a suggestion elsewhere of moving pics to google photos under a made for purpose account as it has the financially strongest parent and likely won't change their policies for years if not decades unlike an alternative like flickr whose parent Yahoo's future is under question at the moment.

Much luck with the migration!

This photobucket thing really is awful. I don't get why they wouldn't allow 3rd party hosing on their lowest price tier. To jump from free account allowing this to needing to pay $400 per year is out of control.

I use flickr and love it, but you are right that Yahoo is not as stable as google.

Thanks Scott, i put it on my youtube as well because i was so chuffed that Sam took the time to make it for me - has music !

I have this neon green with purple tips seri because it came from Dave's actual home reef - it's a sentimental non roofable coral.

Very impressive Andrew! I really enjoyed the video. Those pics are just amazing!

I deleted my PB account after they did this... felt good.

They did make me a limited time offer to continue monthly payments but only on the $39- a month account. They said it was a beta test group - wth

Beta #%#$$% test group just to keep doing what they have always done - it's a 'let's see if these idiots falls for this' test group !!!!!!!

It's a bit more than unfair to me Bulent.

Thanks mate, i will choose the next image host carefully lol.

It's either a short term cash grab and then run away with the loot or drop the load on the servers and make up the lost advertising revenue with short term cash injection. Either way, i need to be in a room for 5 minutes with the PB management team.............

Sam is a porn master Bulent.

Thanks Richard :)

Thanks Conor, i could never capture the detail that Sam was able to mate.

As soon as my images all go down i will do the same Conor, going to have a break from journal keeping for a while and just follow my friends tanks.

I used to have zero care for fish and now days i love them - getting old and doddery lol.

Wait a minute! I like the idea of quitting PB after all their dumb pop up ads and BS fees, but that is no excuse to take a break from your journal man! I just switched to Flickr and I'm pretty happy with it.
