Hi Andrew
I have been into marines for about 3 years and on my second tank, I have relative success with sps and have several oz wild corals that lose colour going dull others that have browned out and started to colour up after 8 months eggs being a scale colony which was one colour when bought and several SSC COLONIES which are showing good colour based onto rock and growing well.I have just ordered frags of walt disney and bali shortcake which look nothing like the pics on us sites.any advice on these corals if you have them.
Bill
Hey Bill, i don't have anything colored like the pics of that walt disney thing lol - the vendor pics are beyond ridiculous - you idiots don't need to over saturate and skew the colors on nice stuff to sell it !
A very easy way to know if you are kicking goals in regards to acro colors is this, if the display looks better under actinics only than with full lighting on your colors are sh$tful............. you can take that however you want.
Sale pics under stupid lighting spectrum is a wank aimed at wanker reefers.
- yes i'm in one of those belligerent biggles moods........... all weekend off and nothing planned other than pic posting and ranting about all sorts of reefy things on RC :smokin:
Where was i before you got me sidetracked Bill.......
I would put any tenuis in bright light, not toasted but medium to high light. If you want to see the beautiful rosette growth that makes them so stunning don't give them too much flow. No rosette's means too much flow - very easy sight indicator for that species regardless of colors whether they are real colors or walt disney on a bad acid trip colors......
The bali shortcake looks tasty, don't have any of that because Chrisitan is a lazy arse collector obviously and hasn't got me any..........
That would not be an 'easy' one to color up compared to SCC, if you were getting good colors on that piece you would have great colors on everything.
