Hey mate, yes i believe the replenish is very similar to the trace hard but more concentrated. The koralcolor dose is the one that does the damage so to speak.

If you didn't want to keep heaps of media like me you could simply dose regular bacteria as long as it's good quality like the AF stuff.



The less input to your water the more potent the control you have using only two things dosed once a day. If you keep it very simple there is very little left to doubt as to why certain things happen in response to a change in only those two things.



I know many must think it can't be as simple as what i am doing but it really is. There is no other trickery involved so i would find it very surprising if someone followed the same regime for 6-8 weeks and did not see a very obvious change to the overall way your entire system functioned and an overall improvement in every pigment color.

Looks like a moose had his way with one of your rabbits years ago and spawned some genetic defect line of bunnies to me mate......... like how would that thing get down a rabbit hole, the antlers would get stuck........ typical of the mutations that occur in sub arctic conditions. It's why the US has a big fence around Canada to keep that stuff away from normal civilization.

Tasmanian's are very similar to Canadians in so much as they don't know there's something not right with them either. Don't get me wrong, i don't mean to offend anyone it's just that even to this day the Tasmanian's are still trying to become part of Australia even though they live on some godforsaken cold and windy rock outcrop - i bet the US wishes they could push Canada away to put an ocean between them.

Do you know what Tasmania was originally named before they changed it to hide the truth - Van Diemen's Land. Comes from the ancient Sumerian's who discovered the rock (and soon wished they hadn't) - the literal translation is:

Icy Demon Rock

Over the years this was softened to 'Rock of the Damned' and eventually one of the village leaders or whatever it is that passes for a government official in Tasmania found the word 'Tasmania' on the back of a cereal box whilst eating breakfast one morning and decided to use that to hide the real origin of the place.

Anyway i just thought you guys might find a bit of history interesting for a change and so you realise that the US isn't the only country with problem neighbors. :reading:

Damn Andrew...seriously mate, I've not know any other person who knows how to colour up acros as well as you do. :thumbsup: My Easter weekend has just been made by coming to your thread and seeing the pics of the acros looking stunning in your tank. Keep up the awesome work. I hope one day I am able to be half as good as you are with acros.

I didn't seed with anything mate, it takes a good 10 weeks plus to see the results from adding the media so add everything asap rather than slowly building it up.

Hey Mark, tbh i have no intention of using anything other than the koralcolor as the main dosing ingredient. I know what i am doing is working well, starting week 14 now with just the dosing i have told you guys about and fish food so i don't see the point in trying to make it any simpler - it's not exactly hard work following my method as you know

Biggles Ugly Acro - 2 weeks in and encrusting. Zero green was visible when i got it from Deer Park a fortnight ago.

Notice anything 'pastelly' about the blue acros i've had for years............ they're a bit more saturated than in the pic but not heaps.

The only reason i ended up with that ugly little frag is luck because Dave was up to his usual antics when i was last there. I had scored the two orange and pink pieces and just before leaving the SPS tank i asked him:

' Now is there anything i've missed or you haven't told me about Dave ? '

' Well i don't think you'll want it but there is that brown frag from Nick that's in with the clams. '

' I looked at that thing Dave, it's brown garbage.'

That's when Dave pulls his phone out and starts flipping through acro pics until he stops and holds up one of an acro in Christian's hand and says casually. ' it's this one '

After looking from the phone pic to the frag and back a few times i quietly said to Dave, ' are you telling me that frag is from that acro ' pointing at his phone.

' yep, but no obligations, you already have lots of nice pieces '

' i don't have anything with firetruck red highlights Dave, i want that for sure.'

' you don't have to take it, i was just showing you the pic Christian sent ' - and then he just stood there smiling at me......

I didn't have clenched teeth when i said this but it was close, ' I know i don't have to buy anything but i WANT to Dave, can i PLEASE have the frag '

' Of course, but only if you're sure ' ....................................... :deadhorse:

I excused myself and went out the front of the shop and screamed into the air, returned and managed to convince Dave that i did indeed want to take the #%$#$% frag....

I leave that bloody store so stressed out sometimes.............:hmm4:

I did the gamma/saturation thing so you can see which way the pigments are going to head as it colors up.

It'd be nice to follow its progress. I think Ugly Acro started to feel the power of the Radium and had no choice but to start coloring up. Ugly Acro does look to have quite the potential though.

Just to be clear, I'm not planning to buy any brightwell magic redox potions, I just thought it interesting where manganese is showing up now that I'm curious about it.
