A Splash of Color

And no one said anything about his colorful towel, man his world is filled with dashes of color all around...it must be those damn lights spilling over out of his tank!

Do you trust the plastic on the drain is reef safe & what ever happened to good old fashioned eggcrate?

Adrew (excuse me bigglezorro) I can't understand how does it work"¦.

You're not supposed to mate, it's mine and i own the copyright.

Nice socks. Almost as colorful as your corals!

I went to the supermarket one day and they had 3 pairs of red toed socks on sale for $1-....... i bought 45 pairs......... :twitch:

and there are no bite marks either. :smokin:

I dip them in bleach to remove any hitchhikers Bulent.........

It is a frag/plug holder with a rounded wall...... that is what I believe it is..... :-) .... LOL

Daniel

Spot on Daniel. You left out the bit about it being awesome but i know that's what you meant to say mate.

Yes! I think the best part is the bigglesZorro signature plug!

Those plugs are diamond etched by hand and the top side ground on a bench grinder to round the edges so they don't look obvious once encrusted. I go to this much trouble because the plugs will be supporting a highly pornographic collection of acro frags that i'm making for Dom (my partner in acro crime) to help stock his new tank once he moves house - surprise Dom !

And no one said anything about his colorful towel, man his world is filled with dashes of color all around...it must be those damn lights spilling over out of his tank!

All my towels turn blue if i leave them near the tank when the radiums are running mate.
They are drinking water safe so that'll do me. Round black frag racks make acros color up better than eggcrate, that's been known for ages.

I needed a second one because the first is full, T5 evening shot before i made the second rack pictured in the previous pics. I hide Dom's porn collection around the back..........

Remember way back many months ago when i discovered the flipper glass cleaner and told all you guys about how awesome it is. Sahin rushed out and bought one after his attempt to have one 3D printed failed.........

As a result i had two magfloat sets sitting around so.............

90mm storm water drain grid with 5.5" dia grate, has a 1/8th" lip at the edge on one side - stops snails pushing your frags off the tray, little bulldozers........:hammer:
Use a dremmel or hacksaw to cut an edge off and super glue it to the inside bit of the glass cleaner.

10 minutes later and it's ready for the tank. Discs are 1.5" dia and all marked on the bottom for good glue adhesion - who was that masked acro fragger ? .............Bigglezorro........... :spin1:

I've just noticed that one of my feet is longer than the other............
That last sentence cracked me up mate:lolspin::lolspin::lolspin:

What i would give for the things that sit on this frag rack:inlove:

Hey Andrew, love the rack! Much nicer than some jaggety pice of crate  Thanks for the plug idea, I wondered where you found them with the chamfered edges but should have know they were a custom Biggles creation

Hey Mike, i checked with a tape and it turns out they're both the same length - optical camera distortion is what i'm now thinking. I should fire off a filthy email to Nokia with the pic attached as proof, thoughts ? :reading:
It should turn out to be an X rated frag collection with luck :)

Hi Mike, they're Oceans Wonders large frag discs in case anyone wanted to know. They make frag rocks which i use when making frags i intend to attach to the reef. Check them out because they look like real rock when puttied to your rock work rather than an obvious round shape.
The dremmel or some 80 grit on a sanding block does the job just as well but without the danger factor involved in doing it on a 6" bench grinder wheel. I took 15 into the workshop but only 14 came out - i have not been able to locate the one the grinder shot into orbit.......... i was wearing my red socks at the time so was in no real danger.

Hey Matt, i have the info on those camera phone filters i said i'd post mate.

They're 2" squares.

AusReef

I cut a strip off the second one from the left, the second lightest tint and slipped it between the lens and protective cover on my iphone6 and took a few snaps to show you the results. Not perfect at all but way better than the harsh blue the iphone normally captures and for $15- a good tool. I haven't tried the others yet but will over the next week or two.

Much appreciated! Whatever will fill in the gap until I can get a real camera is a good thing!

I can't wait to see my porn collection :bounce3: (does that sound weird haha). Good to see things looking amazing as usual and in top form, I do love the frag rack though :D such an ingenious idea!

I tell you what, these fellas should really be jealous of the Acro Armada that we have going at Deer Park! I was there today and holy ****!! Absolutely mind blowing how good it was :inlove: I did well to buy ONLY two small pieces haha

Stunning corals :eek1:

Thanks mate, they look better without the blue wash still present though.

Much appreciated! Whatever will fill in the gap until I can get a real camera is a good thing!

No probs Matt

Beatifull colonies!! The fourth pic is a Granulosa?

Thanks mate, i'm pretty certain it's A. rosaria. I'll get a nice granulosa when i see one next as the growth is very different especially the corallite tips and shape.

I need some of those filters pronto. Sadly don't think it will make my corals look as good as yours

Get a set mate, your acros are yummy colored and the filters will let you show them off much better :)

From Australia, yes. 20 bucks with postage.

Easy peasy............

Hey Dom, i told you it was crazy didn't i lol........ i am definitely getting a bigger tank next year so i can really go nuts :spin2:

Night time top down with the flash to annoy my sleeping blue tang.

I discovered today that one of my echi pieces has been getting way too much flow down low and started to stn at the base. It's about 3" x 1" and looking very ordinary so i cut it off the rock with branch cutters and cut away the sick bits with the dremmel.

8_zps78fxucnx.jpg~original

I threw the bits i cut off into the kitchen bin but then thought i might as well make a frag and we can see if it recovers. I had an acro that wasn't getting enough light or flow where i placed it months ago so i cut it off the rocks and stuck the healthy piece of the echi where that had been. I need to find a brighter spot now for the bloody piece i removed because i'm sure it's a stunner waiting to shine.

Did I just read bigger tank next year?? I like the way you think buddy. If my tank could be on the first story of my house I'd go wayyy bigger. Maybe one day.

That echinata does have a lot of potential! And lucky Dom, that frag pack looks awesome

Echinatas are tricky little things.. So delicate.
Let us know how the newly cut piece does.. I'm curious to see how the cut of end does as well..
I'm amazed at how well those filters remove the heavy blue/violet that the iPhone usually produces.
Andrew, how are you getting photos from your phone to RC? Just curious as I have been uploading from my phone to photobucket directly.. So easy. No computer involved..
By the way, I'm still not talking to you..
