Andrew that Wonka land shot at Dave's is crazy,That would be two YEARS worth of nice acro's around here. My only reaction after seeing that is to go bury my head in an old bucket of dolomite sand left over from the '80's!
Hey Scott, i said to Dave as soon as i walked in ' wow the acros are looking good '
' They looked a lot better yesterday didn't they Mark '
' Oh yeah today they're a bit poopy '
They're a bit poopy................ i thought they looked better than a bit poopy but apparently Dave and Mark are becoming bigger acro snobs than i am
I asked Dave what he thought of the delicate little fluoro tipped acro because i have a thing for fluoro acros as you know. I love the brightness during all lighting periods they bring to different parts of the scape and everything contrasts well against them. The cute little intact orange colony was Dave's reply, he thought the fluoro piece was very so so and questioned why i picked it considering what else was in the tank.
' I want another bright fluoro piece Dave, i just like them dotted around my scape for the pop they bring '
Willy Wonka Dave moment..........
' Didn't you like the pikachu '
' the what '
' the pikachu, you asked me a long time ago to keep an eye out for you '
Out comes his phone and he shows me the over saturated over everything pic of what is still an obvious rare color combo that i had shown Dave ages ago.
' Are you saying you have a fluoro yellow with red polyps acro here Dave ? '
' In the far back corner in the shade, i put it aside when you said you were coming this weekend '
Look at the big FTS of the shop tank in the back right corner, behind the right end of the big purple plastic frag display rock. I hadn't even had a good look back there because i assumed he'd put older less cool colored stuff there like he usually does.
It's not the same species but it does look to have great potential for a wild collected stand in, i'll get a few pics for you tomorrow. Don't expect anything outrageous like the pic above but it sure looks to have a similar color contrast and is about as close as i'm likely to ever get.
