A.T.O. or ultralife float switch, wich better??

I have a JBJ and a Reef Fanatic ATO. They both work great but the floats on the reef fanatic are attached with suction cups, which tend to move around. The JBJ's mounts are more rigid and secure. I just ordered another JBJ today.

I like the switches on the JBJ also, I think they put a buzzer in the white box when the level gets low. Just make sure you rip it out before you set it up.

The new JBJ ATO has a switch that you use to deactivate the buzzer no need to tear it out. Also the JBJ has two float switches and the ultralife only has one. I use both but the JBJ for my ATO and the Ultra life to turn my skimmer pump off in the case my skimmate in my waste container gets too high. JBJ easily wins out as the better device IMO.

Ultralife is horrible. I had one catch fire. I now use a Reef Fanatic level controller.

Yes it was.
I was very lucky. I was sitting on the couch looking at the tank when I heard the relay click on to add topoff. I was pretty used to the sound and duration. I heard it go on, but it wasn't turning back off. I slid the float up and down and the pump kept pumping. I unplugged it and saw that it was melted. I called UltraLife and they could care less what happened. poor customer service to match the shoddy product.
