With an attitude like this I am sure you will succeed brilliantly in the end.

It was recommended by the manufacturer to allow at least two week but three would be best.Beautiful tank captain! If I may ask, how long is the cure time for such a large build? Especially considering the width of the glass?
Thanks for tagging alongamazing build! tagging along on this one.
I'm glad you find it worth the read.subscribed nice setup!
I too, do not know what to expect:fun5: When I get to the freshwater test, I plan on testing the arrangement. There are a couple of different configurations I am going to try. The Ampmaster 6250 GPH (Type-4) pushes a lot of water especially in a closed loop where you have no head pressure except for the pluming itself. If you do the math I should get around 12 GPM per enductor, which is right in the middle of the eductors operational range " www.kthsales.com/website/vendors/penguin/PDF/704.pdf " If the eductors' perform as advertised that will result in 24,000 GHP moving back & forth:spin2: I'm hoping I can actually run 6 enductors and a 3/4" strainer that will allow a lot of water to be pumped inside the rock work to help keep diatoms from accumulating within the rock structure itself. This arrangement should give me the back & forth motion of waves plus keep the rock work clean from the inside & keep most of the waste in suspension till the filters can remove it.8 eductors on one pump!! That is a lot of head pressure. I look forward to seeing what kind of results you get. I am worried that with eight outputs, you might not get enough flow through the eductors for them to be effective. Even with a pump that boasts 30' of head pressure. I love dolphin pumps. I just purchased the Ampmaster 4000 for my 280.
Thanks for the kind words & support. As you know from the thread, I'm a captain, & just like living in Peru, when you are at sea you just can't rundown to the local hardware store to get a part. So just like on my vessel everything is redundant & backup. I try to keep spares for everything. It does add cost, but the cost is nothing when compared to the expanse of losing everything just because you are missing a piece of equipment. Sometime I do get a little depressed but then I remember what a patient told his psychiatrist when ask why he keep hitting himself in the head with a hammer. His reply " it felt so good when he stop!:fun5:I dont know how I missed this build...its awesome!
The logistical and planning issues that you have had to overcome to get this far are mind boggling to say the least. If I forget a bulkhead, valve or anything I just have a 45min drive to get supplies...you have weeks of waiting and huge additional expenses.
I love your outdoor mangrove fuge and your attitude to make sure everything is right and how you want it speaks volumes to what I am sure will be a stunning end result. I envy you your condo and it's view but i dont envy you the processes you have had to go through to get this far.
I will be following for sure from now on.
As I said I do not know, I do not expect each eductor to have the same flow rate, thats not important, but I'm sure not all the water can come throught one enductor. The ansewer will most likly be somewhere inbetween, that is what I will find out during the freshwater test. If the pump can't drive 8 i'll try 6 if that does't work 4. At this point in the build the pluming for the closed loop disterbution are not set in stone.Captain, I hope you are right about the flow. I think you have calculated the flow of the plumbing, but isn't each eductor going to produce equal and cummulative head pressure as well?
It will be great, you will be able to see the surface of the ocean from one eye and a reef from the other & luckily the tank should not block the view.beautiful view of the bay. It'll look even better with a reef blocking some of the view! Great build can't wait to see the finished product.
