I am in the process of building a 125 reef and like you, I on a quest for silence. I decided against Iwaki (with the Japanese motor) because the PW pumps were quieter according to what I have read. I saw the Velocity pumps but had not considered them before I saw your thread.
Are the Velocity pumps significantly quieter in your opinion?
