Abalone on a snail shell?

There is something on my turbo snails she'll. I haven't seen it move but I just got the snail yesterday... I have looked online and have not really seen anything exactly like it but it kind of looks like a abalone.

sure does look like it, with those little bumps. Eighteen dollar find, there.

I see a little tentacle looking thing come out from time to time but it shows no sign of moving. I though abalone crawled over stuff and ate just like snails?

THat's what he's doing, only the real estate is moving. Although don't try to remove him---abalones have a grip stronger than a limpet, and you might kill him trying to get him off.
