ABC Road trip

Serendipitously, had the day off today and got invited to tag along to a distributors for a hand pick livestock run to NJ. Left at 4:45 am and arrived at the seediest looking back door of an unmarked warehouse in Paramus NJ. The door opened into a labyrinth of fresh and saltwater tanks. The saltwater stuff was freshly stocked with a new shipment from the South Pacific.

Mariculture and aqua cultured stuff. Rare fishes, some I'd not heard of. Orange tail tile. Barred pseudochromis. Wicked cool stuff and a fun adventure. Sorry I don't have great pictures. It wasn't a photogenic environment. Definitely not like the ultra high tech suppliers like you see on "Tanked", but legit, and healthy species. Fat. Eating pellets. We brought back a kings ransom worth of stuff. It was a fun day with the guys which was more what it was about.

Just thought I'd share.

Oh, almost forgot, Red Sea Clams that were SWEET! They have previously been unavailable in the trade for some time, but now coming through. Some were pretty huge.

Yup! ABC has a few from trips in past few weeks. Trick with them is frequent feeding. I can't swing that, so I don't get one. But man are they beautiful!

Don't recall, more than one. I was just an observer. There were 3 guys doing the smash & grab with surgical precision.
