Aberrant Tang Pictures

Hey, I just wanted to show off a stunning aberrant bristletooth tang I picked up from an importer yesterday.

It's a Ctenochaetus striatus, without a doubt the most high-contrast one of the group.

Its doesn't look like Ctenochaetus striatus to me.
Nice fish though , wonder if it will hold the patches or go back to normal.

Based on the shape of the dorsal fin and more rounded face, the tang's appearance resembles Acanthurus more than Ctenochaetus but I could be wrong. Either way it's a pretty cool aberrant.

It is a Ctenochetus. The importers confirmed it. The aberration doesn't have the typical 'freckles' that most bristletooth tangs have. Striated Koles typically grow a more elongated body than most bristles. Here's a picture of a similar sized non-aberrant..

Just take a front pic of the mouth. Triangle lower jaw = bristletooth. Curved = acanthurus.

Top fin angle doesn't look the same either.
Looks more like acan to me too.
Similarities to barienne, fowleri, dussmerrsi, etc

If you can take a closer pic of the mouth it will help, but from what you post it does not look like a Ctenochaetus spp., looks like Acanthurus spp. , at this size they're many possibilities and the aberrant colors doesn't help, but I'd guess A.aruranticavus , might be a ring tail there, as it is more clear white than the tail and the shape matches.
