Abort This Water Change?

I was about to do a water change and I looked into my 30 gallon brute and there is a handful of potting soil in the bottom of it! I assume it was placed there by my 2 year old daughter. Should I abort this water change?

I am thinking better safe than sorry, but I hate to pour out 25 gallons of mixed heated water. I guess I need to purchase a better gate.

Absolutely. Under no circumstances would I put that in the reef. It's likely filled with nutrients and would make the water look muddy. It would be very very sad
