We picked up the first half of the 29 gallon package last Saturday. We have been testing the water each day since and the numbers haven't changed much at all.

Temp. 78
ph 8.0- 8.1
ammonia has been at .25 each day
nitrite was at .2 the first three days and has dropped to .1 the last three days
specific gravity - between 1.021 and 1.022

Does this make sense? I have seen no spike in ammonia??
There hasn't really been any die off.

If your transport was relatively short, you could easily have a cycle where your ammonia won't exceed 0.25ppm. When it drops down to zero (the ammonia), you'll be ready for part II.

You make me sick. Everyone should have to cycle for two weeks and pick dead stuff out of your tank like I did. Did I mention the smell.

Short transit time... I guess that is one of the benefits of living in this area!
We've continued our daily tests...
ammonia is below .25
and Nitrirites are at .1
Hopefully we will be able to get the second half soon. Maybe next weekend?:D
